The year is winding down, but that isn’t stopping Nintendo from bringing great games to the Wii U and 3DS eShops. The biggest release of this week is Ripstone’s Knytt Underground, which is releasing on the Wii U eShop for $12.99. Although it is already available on a number of other systems it’s all new for us Nintendo folk, so give it a shot if you are looking for an atmospheric adventure game. Also notable on the Wii U this week is a 50 percent discount on Little Inferno. Grab this story-based fireplace simulator right now for only $4.99! Finally, be sure to check out the free demo of Nano Assault Neo if you are strapped for cash.
The Wii U Virtual Console only has one new game this week, but it’s a great one. Konami’s classic NES title Castlevania has finally made the leap to Wii U, and you can play this tough as nails action platformer (now on your GamePad!) for $4.99.
The 3DS eShop is even more packed this week as Sega continues its 3D Classics series with two more games. 3D Streets of Rage and 3D Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master can both be yours for only $5.99 right now. Both are challenging side-scrolling action games, so if you are looking for a game to relieve some stress, check these two out. Also new on the 3DS eShop is Banana Bliss: Jungle Puzzles, which is available for $3.99, and Winter Sports 2012: Feel the Spirit for $9.99. There are also two new 3DS eShop demos, Brunch Panic and World Conquerer 3D.
Finally, the 3DS Virtual Console got one new release this week, Crash’n the Boys Street Challenge. For $4.99 you can get this River City Ransom-turned-sports mini game collection.

Lots of sales this week that weren’t advertised in the press release. All kinds of good stuff on 3DS – Cave Story, VVVVVV, Mutant Mudds, Guild 01/02 games, and more! Wii U doesn’t have the same quantity… but still offers a few choice picks worth considering.

Agreed! Also, be sure to check out NES REMIX. I’m hoping it sells well and eventually we get the following:
1.) Another NES REMIX with other games (Kung Fu, Zelda 2, Mario 2 & 3, etc.)
2.) 3rd parties getting into the action. Capcom & Konami (among others) have strong enough NES libraries to create their own “remix” experiences.
3.) SNES REMIX!!!! Bring it!
