If you own a 3DS, there’s a lot to get excited about in this week’s Nintendo Download.
Pokémon Battle Trozei has finally made its way to the United States, and I can’t wait to try it out! This game is a Match 3 puzzler on 3DS in which you build up combos to fend your way through numerous Pokémon battles. It looks like Genius Sorority put a lot of work into making the title, as the game features hours of content and contains all 718 Pokémon! As a huge fan of Puzzle and Dragons on iOS, this looks right up my alley.
Another big release this week is Yumi’s Odd Odyssey on 3DS. This platforming series has been around in Japan (where it is known as Umihara Kawase) since 1994, but was not available to a western audience until now! Players outside of Japan will finally be able to take control of Yumi and use her fishing rod as a grappling hook to aid her in completing each level. Titles like this make me happy that the eShop exists because it’s helped us receive so many localized games that we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise.
But wait, there’s more! There’s a full demo of Conception II for 3DS available to download on March 25 too! If you’re like me, then you might be confused about how an RPG where you make babies through “classmating” to save the world would even work. Thankfully, the existence of this demo before the game’s release looks to satisfy all of my questions and possibly get me excited about the game itself.
Speaking of demos, players will be able to play the entirety of Wii Sports Club on Wii U for free from March 21 to March 23. If you’ve been thinking about getting into any of the available sports games, now’s your chance to find out what it’s like!
Other releases this week include Pure Chess (Wii U/3DS), NES Volleyball (Wii U), and Hello Kitty Kruisers (Wii U).
There are also a ton of sales going on at the moment. Three of Renegade Kid’s games are 30 percent off, which include Mutant Mudds, ATV Wild Ride 3D, and Bomb Monkey. Nordic Games is also holding a Wii U sale, in which titles like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are up to 66 percent off. This is in addition to the Atlus games that are on sale until March 31, which include Shin Megami Tensei IV and its DLC, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, Code of Princess, Devil Survivor Overclocked, and Soul Hackers.

In all seriousness, it was a nice surprise to see how quickly Pure Chess was launched after the released date was announced.
