Later this month, the Nintendo World Store in New York will become an even more appealing destination for fans of the company. The site is being relaunched as Nintendo NY, and it will apparently feature a number of new additions that should entice fans of all ages.
On opening weekend, the store will have plenty of festivities. Visitors will have opportunities to win original Splatoon developer art, meet “Mario and Luigi” and grab merchandise that will only be available for a few short days. One of those items is a unique t-shirt featuring Nintendo’s two most iconic characters, Mario and Link. Those that won’t be able to make the trek on the opening weekend will still find plenty of other exclusive products in-store, however!
In addition to new merchandise, the store has gotten a bit of a facelift. A massive coin (pictured below) will greet visitors upon entry, as will a 15-foot screen featuring the latest Wii U titles. New and upcoming games will also be on display throughout the store on various Wii U and 3DS demo units.
Nintendo NY will officially open at noon on February 19.
