With Nintendo’s first wave of Amiibo figures hitting store shelves later this week, the company has been slowly revealing information on exactly what the toys can do. A couple weeks ago, we learned that Hyrule Warriors players can use the Link Amiibo to unlock the Spinner weapon from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, but we now know what the other Amiibo will bring to the table, as well! The Zelda Amiibo will unlock a Three Star Weapon or higher in the game once a day when the toy is scanned, while other figures will unlock either a Three Star Weapon or lower, a Rupee bonus, or a crafting material bonus once a day when the toy is scanned.

It’s not surprising that characters unaffiliated with the franchise won’t unlock anything major, but it is surprising that we won’t see more from the Zelda Amiibo, given the exclusive weapon Link comes with. Still, players will have three games that Amiibo can interact with the day they come out. That’s a pretty impressive start for the line all by itself.

Which Amiibo do you plan on picking up this weekend? As always, let us know in the comments below!
