After a glitch in the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. rendered Peach unplayable in a certain mode, Nintendo has issued an apology. The glitch occurred when playing on the online mode “For Glory,” which does not provide items for players’ use. Princess Peach’s vegetable plucking move was considered by the game to be cheating by spawning an item and would result in the player being kicked from the match.

In an official statement, the publisher said, “We are truly sorry for any trouble this has caused players.” The glitch is currently being fixed and the appropriate patch will be released in Japan within the week. The bug ought to be fixed by the time the game releases in the West on October 2.
