The studio best known for its work on 3DS’ Mutant Mudds, Renegade Kid, has expressed its belief that it is “certain the Wii U will have an excellent future.” This news comes as the developer prepares to release its first game for the platform, Mutant Mudds Deluxe, as well as amidst several troubles Nintendo has been having with Wii U’s early console sales as well as lukewarm and unreliable support from third party developers and publishers.

It’s a welcome show of support from an indie developer and suggests a likelihood that the promised sequel, Mutant Mudds 2 (which has been announced but not yet shown) will have some sort of exclusivity to a Nintendo platform.
