The damage can be qualified positively: 270,000 copies sold in the game’s first month on North American shelves. To put this in perspective, the original game sold 1.3 million in the same time-frame, and this despite being a game exclusive to Wii.
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is available on all current-gen consoles as well as PC and Windows. The game was released on November 18 (along with Wii U); despite the pre-holiday release and an expanded consumer base, its poor sales put the future of the franchise in doubt.
Here’s Nintendojo’s own review of the game.

Loved the idea of this series, but the first game had notable flaws and the second game didn’t review well or appear to address some of the more notable problems.
(The weak DS game didn’t help the Epic Mickey brand either.)
I really tried it but I found the second one even more fustrating thant the first one. The puzzles were so strangely cryptic for a game that targets “Everyone”. I was planning on buying a copy after my rental but I was so disappointed that I changed my mind. I really wanted to love this game but I just didn’t have that much fun playing it.
