We quite enjoyed GungHo Online Entertainment’s Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition when it debuted last spring, as its unique take on puzzle solving and dungeon crawling made it an irresistible combination. Bright punchy visuals, solid gameplay, what more could players want, right? Sadly, despite all its bells and whistles, the two-in-one offering wasn’t a runaway success here in the west, but thanks to the games receiving a better reception in Japan, a new title in the series will be coming to 3DS!
Japanese comic magazine CoroCoro revealed the new Puzzle & Dragons game in its latest issue, but beyond a cover blurb, details are incredibly scarce at the moment. We’ll continue to update as we get more information, but just the news of more Puzzle & Dragons should be exciting to those who have already given the series a try. Hopefully GungHo will give the west at least one more crack and bring this one beyond Japan’s borders, but only time will tell.

I like what I played in the demo, and have been told by a friend it’s a great game. I’ll have to add it to my list of games to get, and I would be interested in getting another one. Now about Code Name: S.T.E.A.M…..
