Konami announced during Jump Festa last month that a new Yu-Gi-Oh! game would be coming to the 3DS, but was only willing to confirm that the title would be released in Japan this summer.
In a more recent announcement, Konami has confirmed that the 3DS Yu-Gi-Oh! title will in fact be released worldwide at the same time. It did not confirm any additional details about the project, of which very little is known, but it is expected that more information will be unveiled in the coming months.
There have been numerous Yu-Gi-Oh! games released on handhelds in recent years (eight on the Nintendo DS in fact), but up until now there has only been one on 3DS: Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival, which was released in 2013 in Japan and 2014 in other regions.
