Could be the only chance you’ll get to see the figure…

The San Diego Comic Con kicks of this weekend and staff have been busy setting up the show floor in time for the event. Although the convention doesn’t officially start until tomorrow morning, the usual preview event was held today, and look what someone managed to get a sneaky snap of: only the upcoming Mewtwo Amiibo!

Nintendo isn’t shy at making itself known at the SDCC and this year is no exception. The company has set up a case displaying various upcoming Amiibo, and the ever popular Mewtwo will be one of the new additions to the Super Smash Bros. line of toys-to-life.

This could possibly be just a prototype; however, the design itself looks good enough for a finished product and shouldn’t stray too much in its aesthetics when it finally releases at some point either late 2015 or early 2016.

The likelihood is that once it is released it will pretty much sell out everywhere and Nintendo will be hard pushed to keep up with demand considering Mewtwo’s overwhelming popularity since his debut in Pokémon almost twenty years ago. All I can say is pre-order, pre-order, pre-order!
