In honor of Mega Man’s 30th anniversary, Capcom announced a brand-new title in the series today: Mega Man 11! The game will feature classic Mega Man gameplay, with modern-day graphics.

While fans had been speculating about the announcement of a new series title for some time, this is the first all-new Mega Man game in seven years, so this still comes as a major surprise. As you can see from the video, Mega Man’s trusty sidekick Rush is back, as well as some familiar foes! It’s also notable that, when using a fallen boss’ abilities, Mega Man’s appearance changes in a much more distinctive way than we’ve seen previously. It will be interesting to see how the character evolves throughout the rest of the game!

At this point, further details are slim. The title will appear on Switch and other current platforms sometime in late 2018. Additionally, both Mega Man Legacy Collection titles will also arrive on Switch in 2018, as well! Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information as it develops!
