Wii U sometimes feels like the poor cousin when it comes to playing online with other systems, but Dark Roast Entertainment, developer of Lucadian Chronicles, has decided that its going all in when it comes to multiplayer in the PC port of its recent Wii U title.
The Christmas release has been approved as part of Steam’s Greenlight program for PC release, and when it does come to PC players of both versions will be able to play one another! It seems like Wii U players will need to log in to Steam in order to take advantage of that feature, but setting up an account is quick and free, so there’s really no excuse.
Single-player story mode, asynchronous multiplayer, and leagues will all make their way to the PC as well as real-time draft tournaments. No word on support for something like cross save though– now that is a feature I’d like to see more of.

This has been a very enjoyable game on Wii U, one of my most played on the console in 2015. Seeing it come to Steam (ie: bigger user-base since Wii U and Steam players can compete against each other) is a pretty good deal.
Great news!
