The Monster Hunter series is incredibly popular in Japan, and Monster Hunter Stories on the 3DS is no exception to this. The spin-off game is making an appearance at the Monster Hunter Summit 2017 event, where players can battle monsters in a competition held across seven locations.
As part of this, Capcom is offering up gold and silver Monster Hunter Amiibo as prizes available to those who take part. The runner-up in the competition will get a silver female Rider Amiibo, while the winner will receive a gold Amiibo of a male Rider.
The Capcom website for the competition says that the Amiibo have been prepared for the Monster Hunter Stories competition, and it is not clear whether they will be more widely available in the future.
In any event, Monster Hunter Stories has yet to be announced for the West, so it seems unlikely that these will be available outside of Japan any time soon.
