Secret audio files unaccessible to regular players have been discovered in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. As seasoned players of the series’ latest installment will be aware, Palutena’s Guidance is a hidden feature available when playing as Pit in the Palutena’s Temple stage. It usually gives information about whichever fighter Pit is facing, but here merely features the characters acting confused. Take a listen to this GameXplain video featuring the extracted sound:
The purpose of the audio remains unclear, but it may be included as a placeholder file to function in case of new DLC characters being added, or in case of the game being unable to load a regular audio file for some reason. Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo is expected to be added in the new year, and more characters may follow as Nintendo tries to build long term appeal for its new fighting games.
