Gunman Clive got its start on Nintendo systems with a release on 3DS back in 2012 and then had a sequel release on the handheld in 2015. Later that year, the two games were bundled together as Gunman Clive HD Collection, which we thought was great. Now, that collection will soon be coming to Nintendo Switch as well.
Both games were generally well-received, offering simple yet satisfying side-scrolling action with a cool, pencil drawn art direction and obvious sense of humor to everything. The games were also relatively short, but their concentrated gameplay, multiple characters, and low price tag more than made up for that for many gamers.
We don’t know the exact release date for this new version of the compilation but it will likely be much sooner rather than later. Bertil Hörberg, the games’ developer, said development on the port was complete and had been sent to Nintendo for approval.
