Golf may seem like it’s all fun and games, but it’s a lot more serious to the protagonist of Golf Story, a golfer who is “forced to give up all that he holds dear for one final shot at accomplishing his dream.” The RPG/adventure/sports title from Sidebar Games is coming to Switch this summer, according to the studio. The following are some of the game’s basics, to give you an idea of how this unique combo of genres will play out:
- Anywhere you want to place your tee and make a shot you can, and you should, because quite a number of the game’s problems and puzzles will be solved by whacking a ball at them.
- The world encompasses 8 environments with their own courses, people, and towns.
- Golf Story’s plot will be dramatic, with a diverse set of characters to help drive the narrative.
- Complete challenges, solve puzzles, and buy equipment to level up your character.
- While there will be a number of forms of golf to play, including long driver tournaments, disc golf, mini golf, and wee links, there will also be a variety of other activities to engage in, like races, mowing, drone flights, and geocaching.
