This summer, Nintendojo discussed a few titles we’d like to see receive sequels. One of those titles was Pokémon Snap. We imagined what the game might look like on the Wii U GamePad, and how new technology could be reflected in the game’s world. Well, apparently we weren’t the only ones wondering what such a fusion might look like. In a recent interview with Nintendo World Report, Game Freak Director Junichi Masuda expressed his feelings about how to approach a Snap sequel.

“…with Pokémon Snap I don’t think doing the exact same thing on Wii U would be the right way to go. We’d really have to come up with some new ideas to make it surprising and interesting for players. If we were able to do that, then yes, I think we’d have something to announce.”

While this doesn’t give us anything too concrete, it is nice to know that Game Freak hasn’t forgotten the title. If the team is looking for new ideas, they should consult with Nintendojo! In the meantime, let us know what you’d like to see in a follow-up in the comments below!
