After the debut of the gorgeous new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo Treehouse’s focus shifted to Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Today’s broadcast marked the debut of three brand-new Pokémon: Yungoos, Grubbin and Pikipek. Yungoos is a Normal-type, Grubbin is a Bug-type and Pikipek is a Normal/Flying-type. Pikipek will apparently have two evolutions, likely making it the “Pidgey” of this generation. In addition to these two new Pokémon, today’s broadcast also showed off a few returning faces, including Ledyba, Pichu and Pikachu. Considering that the gameplay footage appeared to take place early in the game, it would appear that earlier Pokémon will be there right at the outset, unlike what we saw in Pokémon Black and White.

The Treehouse staff also showcased a new Battle Royale mode, which will allow four players to do battle simultaneously. Each trainer can bring in up to three Pokémon at once, and the winner is selected based on how many opposing Pokémon they have successfully knocked out.
