Extreme Butoden is captivating fans across the world. Dragon Ball Z, as a series, is arguably one of the most iconic franchises in America, responsible for introducing millions of people to anime and somehow managing to stay relevant throughout decades.
With that came a game that many were surprised to see get localized. Extreme Butoden is part of the Dragon Ball Z fighting series that started on Super NES over 20 years ago. Finally seeing a stateside (and European) release is the best possible news for avid fans, and it eventually led to over 80,000 European gamers to download the demo. To celebrate the news, Bandai Namco has shown off a new unlockable in the form of Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta. It’s a long name, but it can be better remembered as “strong Vegeta with blue hair” if the repetition bears too heavily on your heart.
The code is as follows: XAB↓→↑YAR↓→↑A→R
Entering this while on the title screen should prompt a pop-up saying SSGSS Vegeta has been unlocked. Knowing that unlockables are taking the form of codes that we would’ve seen in bygone eras of gaming is just another nugget from the past that we can all cling to.
