Wii U owners will have to shell out a little extra cash to play the GamePad-enhanced version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Gamers that never got around to playing Eidos Montreal’s fantastic first-person shooter/stealth action game Deus Ex: Human Revolution in 2011 were all set to get a second chance with the upcoming release of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut on Wii U. This version would use everything the console had to offer, including the GamePad screen, to create the best Deus Ex experience possible.

However, Wii U owners probably felt slightly cheated during E3 2013 when it was announced Director’s Cut would be making its way to PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 as well. Now it appears that those versions will also come with a lower price tag to boot ($29.99 as opposed to the Wii U version’s $49.99). Could the Wii U-exclusive features be enough to justify paying the extra $20? I’m sure many multiplatform gamers would say no.

This isn’t the first time Wii U gamers have gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to multiplatform games, whether it be missing DLC or delayed games. Will you still be picking up Deus Ex on your Wii U? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
