With a new month comes an all-new set of rewards for Club Nintendo members! This month sees a batch of strong new options, including the appearance of a certain two-dimensional plumber!
- Donkey Kong Jr. for Wii U Virtual Console: 200 Coins
- 3D Classics: Kid Icarus for 3DS eShop: 200 Coins
- Metal Torrent for 3DS eShop: 200 Coins
- Paper Mario for Wii/Wii U Virtual Console: 250 Coins
The titles will be available from now until August 3. Donkey Kong Jr. was available as a club freebie on Nintendo 3DS back in February, but those looking to play the title on Wii U can now check it out on the GamePad. This month’s highlight is easily the original Paper Mario, however. One of the Nintendo 64’s later releases, it was originally conceived as a sequel to Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. The title ended up becoming well regarded in its own right, and has spawned a number of sequels and spin-offs. For 250 coins, it’s easily worth the smaller asking price. As usual, Nintendojo would like to point out that the game can only be accessed from the Wii menu, and will require players to own a classic controller.
