News Desk Masthead - Wii U 3

With the holiday season well underway, people the world over are stretching their generosity muscles and taking a few extra moments to maybe make the world a better place, even if just a little. A perfect example of the season’s good cheer comes to us from a group of attentive Best Buy employees who wanted to make life better for a repeat customer.

The employees in Valley Stream, New York, noticed a teen boy who showed up every day to play Super Smash Bros. on the store’s Wii U demo unit. Raheim Storr, the employee who posted the video below, stated that he and his compatriots, “saw an opportunity to make a child smile and did just that.” The employees took up a collection, purchased the system, and surprised the teen with the system. In the description, Storr points to this act of generosity as an example of the sort of experience you can’t find at online retailers.

As you can see in the video, the teen seemed a little skeptical of what is happening, though maybe that’s not too surprising. Generous acts like this don’t happen every day, nor do most people expect to be the recipients of such acts. Hopefully the many people who see this will be further inspired to take part in the spirit of the season.
