During a livestream presentation earlier today, Atlus and Chunsoft unvieled Etrian Odyssey and Mystery Dungeon, a new collaborative RPG for Nintendo 3DS.
As its title implies, Etrian Odyssey and Mystery Dungeon is a crossover between the two dungeon-crawling series. Players will have to explore randomized dungeons in the vein of traditional Mystery Dungeon games, while the cast will be comprised of characters drawn from the Etrian Odyssey series. During the same presentation, Atlus also announced the next mainline installment in the Etrian Odyssey series, Etrian Odyssey V. While the publisher has yet to specify what platform the game is in development for, it’s safe to assume it will be coming to 3DS considering the series’ history with Nintendo handhelds.
Etrian Odyssey and Mystery Dungeon will be released in Japan on March 5, 2015.
