Pokémon’s return to the Alola region is looking to be anything but a rehash of the same journey. In addition to the two new trailers that have been released, The Pokémon Company has revealed a ton of new details on what we can expect on our second visit to Alola.

The island challenge is back in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Moon, though things will play out a little differently this time. While Mina will have a new trial for you, you’ll also have to contend with problems caused by the legendary Pokémon Necrozma, whose actions will have an impact on your journey through the island challenge.

Surfing has been a staple for traversing the wide open waters in the regions of the Pokémon universe, but never before has it been a competitive sport! In Mantine Surf, you’ll ride Mantine like a pro and compete for high scores by pulling off cool tricks!

Mantine won’t be the only Pokémon willing to help you get around Alola. Once you receive the Ride Pager, you’ll encounter various Ride Pokemon that will allow you to gain access to areas that were previously inaccessible.

If you want to have even more fun with Pokémon, you can join the Alola Photo Club! You can choose which of your Pokémon you’d like to take a photo together with, choose the background, photo angle, your outfit and more! After you’ve got your photo, you’ll be able to decorate it with frames and stickers and share it with other players via the 3DS’ communication features.

Not only do you get a cute photo of you and your Pokémon, but they will grow more affectionate towards you and attempt to do better in battle.
