Nintendo has revealed that over 10 million copies of Pokémon Sun and Moon have been shipped ahead of the game’s launch day.

While we don’t yet have sales figures for the games yet, that shipment figure is 1.5 times larger than the initial shipment of Pokémon X and Y and is the biggest launch release of any Nintendo 3DS game to date.

The latest Pokémon games bring a whole host of new features and updates to the series, with improved graphics, new Pokémon, and a brand new region to explore. The series has evolved dramatically over the years (which you can read more about here) and Sun and Moon look set to be the best versions yet.

Pokémon Sun and Moon are releasing across most of the world on November 18 and in Europe on November 23. Are you ready to catch ’em all again? Let us know in the comments.
