E3 2012: The Top 6 Wii U Games Nintendo Didn’t Talk About (But Should Have)

Nintendo Land? Pffft. These are the games Nintendo should have been bragging about yesterday.

Side-scrolling action platform fans, take note. Trine 2: Director’s Cut is quite possibly one of the most beautiful games you’ll ever play, and it’s coming exclusively to Wii U at launch. First released on PSN and XBLA late last year, this version comes complete with the original game, superior graphics and a number of other enhancements, including an entirely new game mode called Magic Mayhem and the yet-to-be-released expansion pack.

You play as one of Three Heroes who must make their way through a fantastical fairytale world fraught with danger. There’s plenty of goblins to fight and puzzles to solve along the way too, and you’ll have to learn how to use fire, water, gravity and magic in order to overcome the game’s obstacles.

Revamped with improved vocals and intuitive touch screen controls, there’s also an online co-op mode and a local “couch” multiplayer mode that supports up to three players. But if you really needed any more persuading, just feast your eyes on its beautiful HD visuals and take a look at what’s in store for you come launch day:
