Thoughts after 1.5 hours of Rhythm Thief:

-Amazing!!
-Just what I was hoping for! If not more!
-It's like if Professor Layton and EBA had a child with SEGA as the midwife! ... seriously... it's just like that.

Actually, that's exactly how I went into it (a semester of C++ in High School). You would have to look up some tutorials online, but in pretty much every way BASIC is exactly that: Basic. If you can wrap your head around C++, BASIC should come to you pretty easily, with a little practice.

Oh yes, you are talking about Petit Computer! I bought that last week! To be clear, it doesn't teach the BASIC programming language, in fact, my only complaint about it is that there is literal nothing in the way of tutorial. However, if you are already familiar with BASIC, Petit Computer pretty much lets you make your own single screen DS games. And we aren't just talking text adventures either, you can do anything from a game of solitaire to a scrolling space shooter. It comes with music and pixel editors, even tile sets. Even if you don't see yourself using these things, you can still download other people's games his QR code. Oddly enough, I found a version of Snake made in Petit Computer that has some of the best retro music ever, and I've been playing that exclusively for the past 3 days.

So Sites, Acel, someone WAS interested. I'd like to think of myself as an eShop expert, heheh, and I've bought quite a bit on the eShop, enough to fill 16 gigs... Huh ... No wonder I'm too broke for an XL MM.
