Wow, I remember my first Nintendojo comment! I called myself MegabusterLegends3 because I originally signed up for the sole purpose of plugging Megaman Legends 3, because I was afraid without enough exposure the game would just fade into obscurity again. After that, I figured I would just take my leave. But alas, I just couldn’t get enough Nintendojo! Even after the inevitable happened and Megaman Legends 3’s relationship status was once again changed to “it’s complicated”, I still keep coming back to Nintendojo for more! Doesn’t that give you the warm fuzzies?! (Not the ones that make you dizzy, mind you).

And Evan … way to pull on the ole heartstrings. I still hold out for the day when Mega Man makes his return, and I’d prefer it to be on a Nintendo console.

I was going to sugjest street fighter 3d but siince you can’t change button map so no too that but if theres a fighting game you all can agree on (not counting brawl since it isn’t out yet) let me know i think we should eventuly have diffrent day for diffrent games. if heros of ruin dosen’t turn up at my freinds local game stop i will get it online . lastly even though i havent beaten it yet shinobi is the first hidden gem on the 3ds

Noah! Evan! I’m mad! Like “face full of spicy curry” mad!
(This is where you ask “Why are you mad, Mega?”)
Well, you guys are chatting up some awesome games here! Heroes of Ruin, Rhythm Thief, so on and so forth, yet here I am, unable to play any of them! You wanna know why?
    (“Why?”, you ask!)
Because my 3DS’ shoulder buttons don’t work!
I don’t get it! This happened to me with my DSi, too. Twice! And now it’s happened to my 3DS. There is no reason it should be broken! I treat the thing better than I’ll ever treat my own children. And still, the buttons have gone rogue again. Blowing on them gets them working, for a minute, but then they crap out again.
I now have to use up on the d-pad instead of L in Kid Icarus, and I can’t get past the second to last level of Rhythm Heaven sans my R button. Rolling Western, Sakura Samurai, Minish Cap, Metroid Fusion, and even Pushmo (Dear God PUSHMO!!! >.<) remain in limbo because of my dysfunctional buttons. Even my DS library relies on shoulder buttons, outside of Elite Beat Agents.
    *Ugh …
You guys have any recommendations for DS or 3DS games that require no shoulder buttons at all?

I’ve done that 3 times now, and it doesn’t make much of a difference. Apparently, where I live, it takes like a month to get it back. And when I get it back, it often doesn’t take long before they break again. And since I am moving in less than a month, I don’t want to send it away and risk having it lost in the mail. That happened with one of my WiiMotes…

          Problem = Opportunity

Perhaps you should take this as an opportunity to upgrade to a 3DS XL. Just make sure to blow into the shoulder buttons shortly before handing over your old system. Or, just to be safe, get Nintendo to do a free repair, and then trade it in before it breaks again.

          I would love to, Hy!
          …. Can I borrow 165 bucks? I’m a little low on Zenny >_> …
Though you do have a point in the fix ‘n’ trade idea, but I don’t know if GameStop will let me transfer purchases before trading, I’ve got a good 60 games downloaded via eShop and there no way I’m giving those up!

I just learned there is a app on e shop that teaches programing while i don’t expect anyone to be intrested in it it gives me an idea for a segment on the heartcast e shop oddities. What do you think?

Oh yes, you are talking about Petit Computer! I bought that last week! To be clear, it doesn’t teach the BASIC programming language, in fact, my only complaint about it is that there is literal nothing in the way of tutorial. However, if you are already familiar with BASIC, Petit Computer pretty much lets you make your own single screen DS games. And we aren’t just talking text adventures either, you can do anything from a game of solitaire to a scrolling space shooter. It comes with music and pixel editors, even tile sets. Even if you don’t see yourself using these things, you can still download other people’s games his QR code. Oddly enough, I found a version of Snake made in Petit Computer that has some of the best retro music ever, and I’ve been playing that exclusively for the past 3 days.

So Sites, Acel, someone WAS interested. I’d like to think of myself as an eShop expert, heheh, and I’ve bought quite a bit on the eShop, enough to fill 16 gigs… Huh … No wonder I’m too broke for an XL MM.

Another great episode, gents! Heartcast “ftw” as the kids say. I told some of my Nintendo friends about the show, so, hopefully you got a little bump in listenership.

PS – Just got back in town and Rhythm Thief was waiting for me… I’ll be playing it for the first time in 3 …. 2…. 1….

Thoughts after 1.5 hours of Rhythm Thief:

    -Amazing!!
-Just what I was hoping for! If not more!
-It’s like if Professor Layton and EBA had a child with SEGA as the midwife! … seriously… it’s just like that.
