This week, as we are still reeling from E3 and continue to do some post-event coverage, cleanse your palate with some Nintendo music! As Palutena from the Kid Icarus series was revealed as a fighter in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, why not listen to some of epic themes from 2012’s Uprising?

This track, called “In the Reaper’s Line of Sight,” plays during Pit’s assault on the Reaper fortress pretty early on in the game. This particular music plays during the exciting flying segment, and you can match parts of the music up with the various twists and turns Pit’s flight takes as he soars along canyons and swoops down upon the fortress.

You can catch hints of the old motif that plays when reapers spotted Pit in the NES Kid Icarus peppered throughout. And that part at 1:50 and beyond is awesome! Man, this makes me want to break out the old 3DS stand and take another trip into Skyworld.
