Link standing masthead (Legend of Zelda)

3) Sandship

Appeared in: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii)

When I first went through Skyward Sword, Sandship was one of the biggest wow-moments of my playthrough. Traversing the enormous vessel was impressive, as Link made his way from the bowels of its lower decks up to its highest masts. Like Goron Mines, Sandship felt like a place and not a series of puzzles. While the dungeon could have gotten by on sheer grandeur alone, switching between the past and present to solve puzzles took it to the next level. The fight with the robotic pirate Scervo was another highlight of an already packed experience, as well. Beautiful, immersive, and well-designed, Sandship is a new classic dungeon.
