Link standing masthead (Legend of Zelda)

1) Stone Tower Temple

Appeared in: The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (Nintendo 64)

This whopper of a dungeon is as elaborate and challenging as it gets. Requiring Link to don all four of his mask forms to complete, the player is tasked with navigating two versions of the enormous labyrinth; one right side up, the other upside down. Using a combination of the Mirror Shield, Light Arrows, and the Elegy of Emptiness to solve the myriad of puzzles in the dungeon, Stone Temple is unrelenting and really pushes the player to think. The two variations of the dungeon’s music are also very catchy, and the battle with the Garo Master is just too cool. Stone Temple manages to combine a ton of different elements into a single, memorable package that makes it the elite of Zelda dungeons.

Another Top Ten has come and gone, my friends. What dungeons are your favorites? Anything from Spirit Tracks, Oracle of Ages, or any other Zelda games that we should have mentioned? Sound off in the comments!
