9. Bunny Hood
I remember distinctly the first time I played Super Smash Bros. Melee. “This game is ridiculously fast!” I thought. Several minutes later, I picked up the Bunny Hood and, being my favorite character, Captain Falcon, I blazed across the Great Fox at the speed of light. Caught by surprise by my insane speed, I ran off the edge and died.
Items that modify your character change the game completely by adding another dimension to the existing game mechanics. I especially liked the Bunny Hood in Melee for allowing characters to defy the heavy gravity of the game. Now just imagine a sped-up Lightning Melee match with Bunny Hoods.
