Yep, it’s another Pokémon console! But there’s a perfectly good reason for this, namely that they’re all so nicely designed! Our favourite yellow electric mouse returned this summer as the 3DS XL launched worldwide, coinciding with the release of the most recently pair of titles in the Pokémon series, Black 2 and White 2. It just oozes happiness, and with such an iconic character in the palm of your hands, you’ll be the envy of Pokémon trainers everywhere.

Triforce Game Boy Advance SP?! That thing looks amazing, and it’s even the same color as the Wii remote that came with Skyward Sword! But I am quite fond of Minish Cap.

Well I did consider that one, but I didn’t want to use both the 3DS and the GBA SP because they’re quite similar. I’m also a child of the GBA era and I’m quite nostalgic for it; the simplicity and colour of the Triforce SP really appeals :)

Pretty good list. You could have taken things one step further with the GBA SP Triforce edition and listed the one that Miyamoto signed.

Also, I like the Pikachu 3DS XL, but I think the Charizard 3DS XL that was announced recently for Pokémon Centers in Japan beats it for the awesome factor.

Sadly, I’ve never had the opportunity to own a special edition console.. I always get mine day one :(

I would have put the Zelda 3DS! I was considering selling mine just to get that one!

I know what you mean – I’ve rarely seen any of the items on this list, aside from the N64 which I couldn’t quite afford. They’re best to pick up just after release because they often disappear quickly.
