10. Clash on the Big Bridge

Okay, so this one’s pretty mainstream, but it’s also a tune from the Nintendo era of Final Fantasy games that’s just too toe-tappingly awesome to ignore. I first heard the Black Mages version of this song around 2008, and fell in love with it almost immediately, if only for the heart-pumping electric guitar. But while a metal arrangement certainly adds a sense of scale to this piece of battle music, its original chiptune form still sounds pretty epic even today, which is a pretty mean feat in my books.
