I started with Nintendo like everyone else--playing at their friends' houses after school (though so many tell this story that I wonder if it's the same guy). I've grown up with Nintendo, and while my nostalgic bias still renders a part of me a fanboy, I still consider myself capable of an honest, objective view of Nintendo games. I also like long walks on the beach, and have a Brain Age hovering around the early 20's.

First party games are second to none. This has been a mainstay of Nintendo since the beginning (if you don't count Urban Champion), and it's the factor that has kept Nintendo afloat through the last rough couple years. Before Wii, anyway. Now they're the powerhouse in casual gaming, a market with far more potential than its competitors once thought.
It sounds odd, but they're a bit *too* good when it comes to first-party games. Often Nintendo's own games overshadow third-party releases, something often reflected in both sales and comments from developers.
I have lots of ideas, but I'm not sure what I could suggest to make them more successful than they are now. For my sanity, at least, could we ditch the friend codes for Wii 2? |
