Super Princess Peach
Pretty in pink? Perfectly packaged? Perhaps we should pontificate on the prudence of a piece of software starring Princess Peach. Postulate: Is the Mario property in intellectual poverty or in pressing penury of permutation?
visuals
Pink is the player's consistent and constant companion throughout the quest. While many of the monsters residing in the various, vibrant landscapes of Vibe Island are visions of Mario menageries past, most flow with a frilly flavor, fitting with the pastel foliage that surrounds the princess. On the lower screen the likeness of Peach lingers lonely amid four lovely hearts, one in each corner. These happy hearts permit the plucky princess to access powers that perfunctorily pulverize her foes and persistent obstacles. The vivacious visage varies with each of the damsel's moods, whether distressed, distraught, delighted or detached, and indomitably displays them with due diligence.
audio
The speakers scintillate the lobes with certain songs sharing a semblance with those of Super Mario World. Island tunes are perfectly proper in this part-and-parcel environment, with vicariously reverberating voices, though in smaller sets than previously seen.
gameplay
With mighty Mario and his bouncing brother, that green guy, taken with Toad to Koopa castle, only Princess Peach remains to rise to the rescue. Peach's powers propel her past multitudes of Bowser's menacing minions, and with the help of the princess's powerful parasol, Perry, she can destroy and digest foes. Perry's past plays a part in the plot, but not until the troddling Toadsters and tied-up Italians have been taken back. Choosing a challenge level would have been gratifying, since Princess Peach's project plays easy when placed against prior parts of the series. Conundrums will confound those of lower age, but classic champions of Mario lore will catch little to love in the earliest levels. Passing on the perfunctory optional power boosts will increase the difficulty for those who crave a challenge. Possibly the packed-in bonus levels will please the practiced palate. Touching isn't as pivotal as possible. Upon the lovely lower screen lie the four hearts, which are linked to the princess's powers, but nothing further. Many minigames may use the matchless interface, but the main quest requires it only minimally. The prevalent DS Rumble Pak can make the system pitch, pulse and plunge at protracted intervals.

overall
Mainly Mario maniacs will prefer Super Princess Peach. While it presents nearly perfect platforming, primarily young ones and frantic fans will favor the game. Plus, the persistent pink could puncture the pride of pretentious males. Fun it is, but futility also seems to be a factor, as after this powerful piece, Princess Peach will find herself purloined away again in two short months with the premiere of New Super Mario Bros.
