Bungie Signs With Activision Greg Wampler 4/29/2010, 7:51pm Eastern Time At first glance, the title of this news story may not sound like Nintendo news, but in all reality, it is. Bungie, the developer behind the Halo franchise, has signed Activision to a 10-year publishing deal. What this means is that Activision will now publish Bungie's future IPs. This also means that future games from Bungie can be multiplatform and, potentially, leaves the door open to Wii and DS development. For anyone who's wondering: this does not mean that future Halo games will be made for Nintendo consoles or handhelds. The Halo franchise is a Microsoft-owned property. One question does still remain though, and that is: why choose Activision after the Infinity Ward fallout? My only reasoning to this is that Activision is the largest publisher in the gaming industry, which means big business.
