Dawn of the New World Gets Stateside Extras Joshua Johnston 10/8/2008, 8:01pm Eastern Time While Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World is slated to hit American shelves in just over a month, Japanese gamers have been at the game since mid-summer. The several months between the Japanese and American releases owes primarily to localization duties, but it also seems Namco took the opportunity to include a couple of nice bonuses over and above the usual voice acting and text translation. One, game clear data from the GameCube version of Tales of Symphonia will unlock extras in Dawn of the New World. According to 1up, those extras will include randomly unlocked items, currency, and other bonuses at the outset of the game. Two, the game will allow the use of up to eight different motion-controlled special attack shortcuts. In the Japanese game, special attacks could be mapped to four different waggle motions; apparently that number has been doubled for the U.S. version. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World ships November 11, 2008. For more details, check out our full preview. Source: 1up
