Nintendo Promises Steady Flow of Wii Systems Aaron Roberts 11/1/2006, 11:50am Eastern Time Nintendo is ready to meet holiday Wii demand. The company is putting together a massive supply pipeline to make sure that Wiis keep getting into stores as consumers want them. Over four million Wiis are expected to hit stores worldwide between November 19 and the end of the year, and America is receiving the bulk of that number. Nintendo says it has readied a fleet of trucks, planes, ships, and trains to keep those consoles moving. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime says the amount of shoppers who will want a Wii this holiday season will be staggering. "Because of demand, we're urging shoppers not to get complacent. The level of demand we're seeing goes beyond the ordinary. Retailers are telling us a significant fraction of customers pre-ordering Wii are nontraditional gamers -- people looking for a better way to play. And that's exactly what Wii is designed to provide." Wii officially launches on November 19 in America, December 2 in Japan, and December 8 in Europe. Source: Yahoo! News, Nintendo
