Lik Sang Taking Wii Pre-orders Dave Magliano 9/9/2006, 8:34pm Eastern Time
Popular importer Lik Sang is now taking pre-orders for Wii. Lik Sang provides no new details, as price and shipping information will be added to orders once Nintendo makes those announcements. Per-order customers will be able to choose from potential packages and colors once Nintendo finalizes those decisions. Customers are limited to one Wii system per order. The Hong Kong based Lik Sang is a popular retailer for gamers outside of Japan looking for Japanese gaming products. It is unclear if those ordering from North America or Europe would pay local prices or a price converted from Hong Kong dollars, or if Lik Sang will set its own price. Lik Sang previously took DS Lite pre-orders for a set price of US$169, only to raise the price of those pre-orders to US$199. This is the first retailer to take Wii pre-orders. Others, some of which are already taking Wii game pre-orders, will likely take system pre-orders sometime after Nintendo announces the official price and release date.
