Rumor: Capcom's Phoenix Wright Becoming Hard To Find Aaron Roberts 1/2/2006, 7:27pm Eastern Time
Capcom's Phoenix Wright: Ace Attoney is apparently in short supply. The game itself, which revolves around the adventures of a sleuthing lawyer, is no longer featured on the DS page on Capcom's website, although Phoenix himself is still pictured, and new copies of the game are reportedly hard to find both in retail stores and online. A check of Amazom.com shows that no new copies of the game are directly available, and that individual sellers are offering Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney at prices over fifty dollars per copy. This apparent shortage could mean one of two things: Either Capcom has discontinued production of the game in North America, shortening the supply of cartridges, or that the company underestimated the demand for the game, which has gained some cult popularity, and is unable to meet current demand. The coming weeks will tell which of these is the truth.
