Patrick Ross 6/9/2005, 9:26pm Eastern Time

According to Punch Jump, Nintendo's bet has paid off in Japan with their latest game for the DS: Brain Training For Adults. The game has sold through 101,000 copies since its debut three weeks ago. It is currently topping sales charts.

At a recent press conference, Satoru Iwata indicated that the game has sold well with adult demographics and with females.

Another DS game selling well is Bandai's SD Gundam G Generation, which has crept into the top 10 of the sales charts with over 60,000 copies sold.

Nintendogs and Brain Training For Adults have helped propel sales of the DS to 5.27 million units worldwide.
