DS Shipments Exceed Expectations

According to a release posted on the Asia Pulse Businesswire, Nintendo Co. has disclosed that, in 2004, it shipped 2.8 million units of the DS in Japan and the United States, topping the company's initial projections of two million units. The release states, in part: Almost all of them had been sold through retailers up by the time the New Year's holidays ended, according to the company.
