Hidden 'Dolphin' Logo Found On GameCube's Flipper Chip!
William Jacques 3/21/2004, 11:01am Eastern Time

One of our forum members has made an amazing little discovery, and we just couldn't help ourselves.

Anyway, believe it or not, chip designers will often leave little "chip artwork" on their microchips as a token of sorts for their achievement. Nintendo and other responsible parties have imprinted, rather appropriately, the image of a dolphin on the GameCube's flipper chip. Such companies often have to sneak these designs on, as the actual chip-makers don't like it. As you can see, the one below appears to be rather professional.

The above image is actually 200-500 times the size of the actual chip art!
