Breaking: First Square Enix Title Announced In Japan
Austin Starr 12/7/2002, 7:39pm Eastern Time

The first title brought to us by Square Enix has been announced in Japan earlier today.

The title will be called Parasite Eve: Rebirth which is to be developed and published by Square Enix. It is set to hit the market by the end of 2003 on both the PS2 and GameCube formats in Japan. The first two Parasite Eve titles were brought onto the PSX in the late 90's and achieved critical success. Rebirth will be an all new episode offering an "Innovating combat system, digitalized voices, and an astounding technical realisation."

It has also been announced that the title will be brought to the US and European markets in the year 2004. As CubeNation reports, the game will offer a "huge lasting appeal" and will be "much more entertaining than the ones before". This is definately the game that may very well break the boundary between the GameCube's "kiddy" format.

We'll pass on more details as they come about.
