Yoshi Vomits in Mario Sunshine; Media Inside
Bryan Cashman 7/19/2002, 10:01am Eastern Time

Nintendojo witnessed a new Yoshi action while playing Super Mario Sunshine this morning that shocked us all. In Super Mario World, Yoshi debuted as a dinosaur Mario could ride, who could also eat fruits scattered throughout levels. To Nintendojo's surprise, however, Yoshi has a new feature in his GameCube adventure... vomiting.

Like his debut on Super Nintendo, Yoshi can eat different colored fruit and change color to match his newly digested food. However, the shocker is that Yoshi now vomits the fruit as a new move. The vomit, for those curious, matches the color of the digested fruit and seems to be juice the fruit.

The juice projectile can then be used to clean the paint off of levels, a main objective in Super Mario Sunshine. When not riding Yoshi, Mario can use his water pack to wash away the paint.

Nintendojo's Nathan Heckel is currently racing through the game and will keep you updated on his progress and any more surprises in GameCube's Super Mario Sunshine. Super Mario Sunshine will be available in the U.S. later next month.
